On 19th October 2023, the ceremony for the Danubius Award and Danubius Young Scientist Award winners has taken place at the West University of Timisoara.
The ceremony was part of the Annual Meeting of the Danube Rectors Conference which celebrates its 40-year anniversary in 2023!
It is great to see that the diverse research fields of the winners are contributing in different ways to understanding the Danube Region, its history and society as well as helping to prepare the region for the challenges to come, for example in the field of environment and sustainability.
The 2023 winners are:
Danubius Award: Prof. Andreas H. Farnleitner (Vienna University of Technology & Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences)
Danubius Mid-Career Award: Ass. Prof. Dr. Marco Beaumont (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna)
