EUvsVirus Hackathon

The European Commission, led by the European Innovation Council and in close collaboration with the EU member states, will host a pan-European hackathon to connect civil society, innovators, partners and investors across Europe in order to develop innovative solutions for coronavirus-related challenges.

Mrs Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, has launched the #EUvsVirus hackathon online. The College of Commissioners and many partners, including leading European companies, have already endorsed the initiative.

 

The hackathon, organised between 24 and 26 April 2020, will bring together international teams to suggest new solutions to challenges or adapt and scale-up the existing ones. Altogether around 60.000 people in 300 virtual teams shall collaborate to bring their solutions to the next level and in a tight time.
