RIS3 SERBIA EVENT

On October 2nd 2018 is organized a RIS3 SERBIA EVENT. The event was held at Science and Technology Park in Belgrade, Serbia.

Serbia is finishing the qualitative analysis of the strengths and potential and is preparing to enter the entrepreneurial discovery process. The aim of this workshop was to explore expectations of stakeholders from industry, academia and government, hands-on experience during qualitative analysis and further steps in the process of RIS3 design in Serbia. Also, the workshop’s goal was to inform general public and involve various stakeholders in the future activities of RIS3 design.

Mr Vladimir Šucha, Director General of the JRC took part in the workshop and underlined the importance of S3 design in Serbia since innovation help in reducing social inequalities, strengthening economy and improving business environment. Mr Viktor Nedović, State Secretary in Ministry of Education, Science and Technological development (and coordinator of RIS3 design team) said that it is important to identify the areas with competitive advantage since they will be a driver of future economic growth and development. Speakers of the workshop were also representatives of Public Policy Secretariat, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Ministry of Economy and members of RIS3 Serbia design team.
