Consolidated Input Document, Report on Public Hearings; Operational Evaluation Report online!

Final Consolidated Input Document of the Danube Countries for the Revision of the EUSDR Action Plan (V1) handed over to the European Commission / DG Regio

We have the pleasure to announce that the “Final Consolidated Input Document of the Danube Countries for the Revision of the EUSDR Action Plan (V1)” is ready. The document is now endorsed by the EUSDR National Coordinators and it is officially handed over to EC / DG Regio as input for the EUSDR Action Plan revision process. This document compiles and contextualizes the outcomes of multifaceted consultations (public consultation, consultations at Priority Area level, consultation at national level). As it stems from the actors directly concerned with steering and implementing the EUSDR, it constitutes the primary basis for the revised Action Plan, which is to be elaborated by the European Commission / DG Regio until autumn 2019.

Report on the Public hearings on the Revision of the EUSDR Action Plan provided to the EC / DG Regio
The Danube Strategy Point (DSP), at the request of the Romanian Presidency of the EUSDR, organized a Public Hearing Session on the revision of the EUSDR Action Plan, as a side event of the 8th EUSDR Annual Forum  (27th /28th June 2019 in Bucharest). This session offered the opportunity to make proposals for actions to be integrated into the Action Plan (AP). The outcomes of the lively discussions among civil society representatives and actors / promoters of activities, projects and processes are compiled in this report.

EUSDR Operational Evaluation Report 2019 finalized & available

The EUSDR Operational Evaluation was launched in spring 2019 and mainly focuses on governance aspects, communication and stakeholder involvement of the EUSDR, thus on processes and workflows among the key EUSDR actors as well as towards key target groups of the Priority Areas. In close cooperation with the specifically installed Steering Group DANUVAL – composed of selected representatives of the EUSDR core stakeholders – DSP assigned an evaluation consortium led by METIS Ltd. with conducting the Operational Evaluation, based upon desk research, an online survey and semi-structured telephone interviews. This Operational Evaluation constitutes a first contribution to evaluation and monitoring of the Strategy. For instance, the new EUSDR monitoring system, which will be launched by end 2019, is intended to provide a solid basis for tracing functionalities, evolvements and  achievements both in operational and in policy terms.
