The European Commission´s #EUvsVirus initiative aimed to fight against the coronavirus pandemic has proved to be extremely effective.

 

Thanks to the pan-European #EUvsVirus Hackathon, 2164 multidisciplinary and international teams were formed in April 2020, in order to present their innovative solutions. Subsequently, in May, during the #EUvsVirus Matchathon match-making event, 1960 new partnerships were formed by connecting the top 120 teams with 458 partners from the public and private sectors.

 

Information about the projects will be published on the forthcoming European Commission platform called EIC Covid Platform.

 

The European Commission, as the conclusion of the whole initiative, is organizing the so-called Accomplishment Day! on June 2, 2020. The live broadcast will take place on the EUvsVirus Facebook page from 10:00 AM. The closing ceremony will be broadcasted live in the evening at 7:30 PM.

 

By this event, the European Commission wants to highlight the success of the #EUvsVirus initiative in the fight against COVID-19!
